Next, we will check where the cables are plugged in. Your router will have a WAN or internet port, this is where one end of the ethernet cable should be plugged in. Usually this is a different colour to the other ports. For our MyRepublic Wifi Hub this is a RED port, and for the D-Link EXO 882 it is YELLOW.

The ethernet cable will look like this:
The other side of the cable should be plugged into the LAN1 on the ONT. The LAN light will illuminate if both the ONT and router is turned on. The port may also be labeled GE1.
The last thing to check is making sure your router has power connected to it and the power button is pushed in.

If your devices are physically connected but there's still no LAN light showing this could be a sign of a faulty WAN cable, for which we recommend trying a different ethernet cable to see if this resolves the issue.
