Why are consents required for fibre installation?

Once your fibre order has been placed with your Local Fibre Companies (LFCs), they may require consents as part of the fibre installation process

Consents are required to:

  • To gain access to the property so that technicians from the LFC can assess the scope of work that needs to be done in order to install the UFB fibre network.
  • install the new fibre network infrastructure.
  • secure access to the property for the purposes of connecting other properties, maintenance, replacement or upgrades.

Based on your address, consents are required for these scenarios. Additional details on the consents process can be found in our dedicated section for consents.
