If the property owner or your neighbors refuse to provide consent, the consents team at Chorus will contact the property owner to discuss the reason for refusal with a view to gaining agreement and obtaining consent.
If we believe that it is not possible to obtain consent, we will reject the order and refund the bond payment back to you. There shall be a six month stand down period before which we can retry to gain consent for fibre installation.
In case of other providers (Enable, Ultrafast Fibre or Northpower), you can attempt to gain consents in the future again. Currently, there is no stand down period defined.
Note: The refund of the $50 bond applies to all customers who signed up with MyRepublic on or before 1 December 2015.
